Data deletion
Your data is yours to control. You can disconnect institutions, download a copy of your data, or delete your account and everything with it - all directly from the app, no email or support request needed.
Disconnect an institution
If you only want to stop syncing a specific bank or card, you don’t need to delete anything else:
- Open Luminy and go to Settings.
- Find the institution under your connected accounts.
- Select Disconnect. Syncing stops immediately, and you can re-add it later if you change your mind.
Export a copy of your data first
Before deleting, you can take your data with you. Go to Settings → Data → Export your data and Luminy downloads a file with your profile, accounts, and transaction history.
Delete your account and data
- Open Luminy and go to Settings → Data.
- Select Delete my account.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
This takes effect immediately: every institution connection is revoked, your synced balances and transactions are wiped, and your profile and login are removed. Deletion is permanent - it can’t be undone, so export your data first if you want a copy.
Good to know
- Deleting your Luminy data doesn’t affect your accounts at your bank or institution - it only removes the copy synced to Luminy.
- Some records may be kept where the law requires it - the full detail is in our Privacy Policy and Data Policy.
- Can’t access the app anymore? Use Contact us in the footer, email us from your account’s address, and we’ll handle the deletion for you.
